ACCREDITATION

NCFE is an awarding organisation recognised by the qualification regulators for England (Ofqual), Wales (Qualification Wales) and Northern Ireland (CCEA Regulation).

ACCREDITED COURSES

We have designed our courses specifically to meet the needs of learners so that they are able to use their knowledge and skills in their Christian ministry.

TWO-YEAR COURSE

The International Bible Training College (IBTI) runs a two-year course in Applied Theology starting in October and ending in late June or early July. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive an IBTI Diploma in Applied Theology.  Although we strongly recommend doing the full course, there is the option for students to do only the first year and receive an IBTI Certificate in Applied Theology.*

Within the two-year course a number of subjects have been selected to be included in a Customised Qualification accredited as an unregulated course and leading to a Certificate of Achievement issued by NCFE. The IBTI Diploma in Applied Theology is evidence of the knowledge and skills gained by completing the units of the Customised Qualification that represents 1200 hours of academic total qualification time and 1700 hours of vocational total qualification time. The measurable learning outcomes have been benchmarked at Level 4 (using the national framework’s level descriptors), allowing applicants to consider the depth of study, difficulty, and level of achievement involved.

SIX-MONTH COURSE

Our Bible College also offers a Missional Leadership Course (six months from January to July) which is an unregulated course accredited by NCFE at Level 4, with 421 hours of academic total qualification time and 369 hours of vocational total qualification time. Participants who successfully complete this course will receive a Certificate of Achievement issued by NCFE and an IBTI Certificate in Missional Leadership. It is important to note that this course is open only to people who are already involved in ministry. Also it is a course that non-EU students can consider via the short-term study visa route.

* ONE-YEAR COURSE IN APPLIED THEOLOGY is not accreditated by NCFE (see more)

NOTE: It should be noted that Customised Qualifications, though accredited, are considered by Ofqual as non-regulated because they are bespoke courses and are not on the Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF).

NCFE certifies that the International Bible Training College (IBTI) is an approved Centre. No. 8461189
